The Winds of Change Always Brings Storms…
I have always loved the above quote from Warren Buffett, the most successful investor in history.
The key word is “chronically”.
All businesses present their own unique challenges.
Some are quick and easy fixes.
Some require time and money.
Some are not worth the trouble keeping alive.
“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.” ~ Nelson Mandela From Failure to Fearless… The Key to Living a Life that Matters. Now On Sale. Most stories, if the reluctant […]
Can you run your business without a long-term strategy?
Can you increase market share without a solid marketing strategy?
Can you make more money without a real financial strategy?
Can you grow and prosper without a strategy for success… all the way out to succession?
Of course not!
“Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.” ~ Og Mandino Kindness Is The Energy of Life […]
“Authenticity is everything! You have to wake up every day and look in the mirror, and you want to be proud of the person who’s looking back at you. And you can only do that if you’re being honest with yourself and being a person of high character. You have an opportunity every single […]
“Without courage we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We can’t be kind, true, merciful, generous, or honest.” ~ DR. MAYA ANGELOU The Courage to Lead… The Most Eye-Opening Look at YOU—Ever. Answer 10 simple questions in 10 broad areas of your performance and we will custom-publish a 172-page book all about YOU… just […]
Most of us will also have a future beyond today!
What limits our future is not just up to you, it’s up to your past and how you perceive it.
You have heard this a million times, when you limit your future by living in the past, nothing good can come from it.
“I am here for a purpose and that purpose is to grow into a mountain, not to shrink to a grain of sand.
Henceforth will I apply ALL my efforts to become the highest mountain of all and I will strain my potential until it cries for mercy.” ~ Og Mandino
“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’ ” ~ Eleanor Roosevelt Be Awesome! Courage is one of those big words […]
Kindness Shows True Strength…
So many people equate kindness with weakness.
In truth, being kind is a statement of unique strength.
Angry people are consumed with hate.
They hate their circumstances.
They hate people who do not agree with them.
They hate their jobs, their relationships, their health, virtually everything that validates their inner-anger.
Sylvester Stallone said it best, “There’s a natural law of karma that vindictive people, who go out of their way to hurt others, will end up broke and alone.”
“Every day we have plenty of opportunities to get angry, stressed or offended. But what you’re doing when you indulge these negative emotions is giving something outside yourself power over your happiness. You can choose to not let little things upset you.” ~ Joel Osteen The Power to Be Yourself… When we think of […]
Yes, you CAN have it all…
Look at the calendar.
Look at your life.
Is this where you thought you would be after 10-20-30 years of hard work?
You dreamed of being rich one day. Are you?
You dreamed you would be happy by now… that you would catch that gold ring and make it yours. Did you?
Interesting questions, aren’t they? Probing. Provocative.
They get to the reality of it, don’t they?
Fact: Over 50% of all businesses started 4 years ago are gone.
If you start a business today, odds are that 4 years from now, you will be out of business.
The good news is that if you follow a basic strategy for growth and profits, you can win.
If you have a strong competitive advantage.
Last week we discussed the difference between hopes and wishes vs. crystal-clear EXPECTATIONS.
As I pointed out all week, what you have the RIGHT to expect is based on four Colors within your personal Time Prism:
Your sense of purpose and MISSION… your ATTITUDE… your ability to set Smart GOALS… and your ability to establish realistic PLANS to achieve your goals.
