Kindness Shows True Strength…

So many people equate kindness with weakness.

In truth, being kind is a statement of unique strength.

Angry people are consumed with hate.

They hate their circumstances.

They hate people who do not agree with them.

They hate their jobs, their relationships, their health, virtually everything that validates their inner-anger.

Sylvester Stallone said it best, “There’s a natural law of karma that vindictive people, who go out of their way to hurt others, will end up broke and alone.”

Said another way, what goes around comes around.

Angry, vindictive people will attract a tremendous amount of negative energy into their life.

These people wonder why nothing ever seems to go their way.

Why they feel isolated and alone and their voices are not heard.

The answer is simple. People do not want to be exposed to tyrannical outbursts of soul-destructive anger, negativity and just plain hostility.

You cannot be angry and kind at the same time.

You cannot be hostile and kind at the same time.

You cannot be vindictive and kind at the same time.

It shows strength to hold your tongue and be kind to those hell-bent on demeaning you.

It shows strength to deal with vindictive people in a positive and proactive way.

It shows strength to turn the other cheek and give the other person the empathy they deny you.

True empathy requires real strength.

Empathy is a rare form of kindness where we put ourselves into another’s shoes — to truly understand and feel what the other person is feeling… thinking… and experiencing.

Kindness is about looking into another person’s hurt and wanting to help.

Kindness is about giving out second chances even when none are warranted.

When we understand that kindness is not just about being kind, but rather, being so powerful we can absorb another’s pain and carry them when they can no longer walk in their own shoes.

The personal empowerment gained by granting another a second chance is the miracle of life that truly separates the weak from the strong.
