When we created this Smarter in a Minute video, we wanted to drive home a simple point.
Kindness, like quality, is not something you add on later when you get around to it…
It must be built into every thought you think and every action you take.
Kindness is an essential component of a truly successful person.
You can have all the money in the world, but if you lack compassion… lack a true desire to serve up to your full potential… what’s the point?
As we inch closer to Christmas and New Year’s Eve, think about where you will be next year if you make kindness your prevailing attitude.
Just so we are on the same page…
Kindness is the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.
You could say that being friendly and considerate is being nice but kindness is more.
To be kind is to be generous.
Generosity is giving more than what is expected.
Generosity — completely free from meanness or smallness of mind or character; magnanimous (forgiving).
In the end, kindness is being nice + generous + friendly + gentle + caring + helpful + considerate + giving + forgiving + honest and more.
Now, look into your personal prism and tell me if you see this in your life each day.
Wouldn’t you feel better if you were?
Wouldn’t the world be better if you were?
Wouldn’t everyone around you be better off if you were ALL of the above?
All the time?
No question, to move forward successfully in life means becoming the person who radiates kindness.
Slow down, THINK, feel and express yourself with kindness.
It is, in fact, its own reward!
