Last week we discussed the difference between hopes and wishes vs. crystal-clear EXPECTATIONS.
As I pointed out all week, what you have the RIGHT to expect is based on four Colors within your personal Time Prism:
Your sense of purpose and MISSION… your ATTITUDE… your ability to set Smart GOALS… and your ability to establish realistic PLANS to achieve your goals.
All you need to do is armor up, step up, and slay them.
Which, of course, is much easier said than done!
When we were crafting The Excellence Habit, it became obvious to us that there are powerful inward forces holding people back from high achievement.
Huge, scary, fire-breathing dragons that cause us to shrink from the fray, run and hide while we wait until the time is just right to pursue our goals.
This week we are going to talk about the power of cumulative action—keeping your dreams alive and well by giving them the attention they so richly deserve…
By taking a successive series of small steps in the direction of your dreams.
The attention your dreams seek is ACTION.
They cry out for ACTION.
Is taking bold action a problem for you?
Today’s TQ is all about managing FEAR… Afraid to proceed? Pin down exactly what scares you. The more precise you are, the clearer you can see your fear. Often the light of day will simply cause your fear to vanish. Isolate each fear. See it for what it is. Then take a specific action that […]
Last week, we discussed how to become more Efficient and Effective by doing your 4 R’s more frequently:
Doing the Right Things… the Right Way… for the Right Reasons… all at the Right Time.
This week, we are going to tackle PROCRASTINATION—a word that causes most of us a tremendous amount of grief—and keeps us from consistently doing things at the Right Time… if at all.
Ultimately, the Excellence Habit is all about the inculcation of great ideas…
POSITIVE IDEAS that shape your performance.
To succeed, you MUST have a constant flow of great ideas… a reservoir to depend on for true innovation.
To motivate you to take bold action.
When we run out of ideas, we run out of hope.
This morning we had a wonderful conversation about getting 2018 off to the best start possible.
My advice was simple.
Take out a sheet of paper and draw a line down the middle. Label the left half WHAT I DON’T WANT… and the right side WHAT I REALLY WANT…
Listen to the audio and follow along.
1 hour here and you will not only have better direction, but a real head start towards guaranteeing 2018 becomes YOUR year.
Engage others in your life and your dreams. Fully engage them.
In a nutshell, when you transform Thanks and Giving into THANKS LIVING, you experience joy, happiness and satisfaction in everything you do.
Learn to share your goals with others for mutual benefit—and give copious thanks and praise for their participation—and you will gain enormous power over your life.
At the exact halfway point in the year, I find it useful to look back to see what I have accomplished—and look forward to see what I hope to accomplish before the year runs its course.
In a way, this turning-point is a critical juncture in reaffirming that what I say I want, is indeed what I intend to spend my working days pursuing—and if I have the power necessary to transform my hopes into tangible results.
This week, we will be doing a “refresher” course on dreams and dreaming. Your dreams are critically important in the grand scheme of things—because without them, your life has no future.
Charles Darwin opined that “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent. It is the one that is most adaptable to change.”
You know that the global economy teeters on a precipice — both candidates for US President agree that big changes are needed and coming…
I know this sounds like a hopelessly over-hyped offer, but this is what we do here every day!
As you have come to know, TQ measures how smart you take action — the true measurement of your success potential.
Essentially, we measure what you do against what the most successful people in the world actually DO.
It stands to reason that if you make the same smart choices, and take the same smart actions as highly successful people, then you too will enjoy high achievement.
This week we are going to cover the importance of setting SMART Goals: Specific Measurable Achievable Realistic Tangible. If you don’t have SMART Goals, you don’t really have goals… and living what you value most will remain elusively out of reach.
Just to repeat the age-old quote by Aristotle, “Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.”
“Freedom know this, that every man/woman is free To choose his life and what he’ll be. For this eternal truth is given, God will force no man to heaven. He’ll call, persuade, direct aright, Bless with wisdom, love, and light; In nameless ways be good and kind, But never force the human mind.”~ William C. […]
