“The person with a fixed goal, a clear picture of his desire, or an ideal always before him, causes it, through repetition, to be buried deeply in his subconscious mind and is thus enabled, thanks to its generative and sustaining power, to realize his goal in a minimum of time and with a minimum of physical effort. Just pursue the thought unceasingly. Step by step you will achieve realization, for all your faculties and powers become directed to that end.” ~ Claude M. Bristol
As I said all last week, the difference between merely EXISTING and truly LIVING is the difference between just KNOWING your values—and INCORPORATING them into every decision you make… and every ACTION you take.
This week we are going to cover the importance of setting SMART Goals: Specific Measurable Achievable Realistic Tangible.
If you don’t have SMART Goals, you don’t really have goals… and living what you value most will remain elusively out of reach.
The importance of developing this skill to your career… your company… your family… and your future cannot be overstated.
Goals confusion leads to frustration, failed expectations and ultimately—total burn-out.
If you are struggling with money problems, career challenges even relationship issues, the best way OUT is setting a handful of SMART Goals.
Because if YOU don’t know what you want, when you want it, and what it’s going to take to get it… how can ANYBODY help you?
Think about it.
Your goals must be SPECIFIC, otherwise you have nothing tangible to work towards.
Vague, undirected and uninspired goals lack the internal motivators to move your body, heart and soul to take positive ACTION.
A Goals Challenge…
Where DREAMS are born from your imagination, GOALS are born from a promise.
The issue is, what have you promised yourself that you would achieve by now?
Have you kept that promise?
Please take some time today to think about your career or business.
What would you like to accomplish… next?
Where would you like to take it… next?
Now, transform that THOUGHT into a SMART Goal with the expected date of realization September 20, 2015… then perform beyond expectations.
