The “real” of it is that business is almost always a YOU versus THEM proposition — a zero-sum game where the winner takes from the loser and the loser tries to figure out what happened — so it doesn’t happen again.
Having built numerous businesses from scratch, usually with little or no initial capital and nothing more than a great idea, I can attest to the difficulties — AND REWARDS — of playing this game at a high level. I personally fought Bill Gates for 20 years in the market, and while I made a lot of money, he still has MY $20 billion dollars in HIS checking account!
