Something to always remember: Money is what we get for the exchange of our labor.
Develop outstanding skills, you make a lot of money.
Remain stuck in status-quo, business as usual thinking, you make less.
Every person has skills unique to them.
The key is to discover them, nurture them, and fully exploit them.
“I noticed an almost universal trait among Super Achievers, and it was what I call Sensory Goal Vision. These people knew what they wanted out of life, and they could sense it multidimensionally before they ever had it. They could not only see it, but also taste it, smell it, and imagine the sounds and […]
If you are still climbing the ladder to success, the question is, which rung are you on?
Are you still locked at worry and doubt… second-guessing your skills and capabilities? Have you moved up to excellence and mastery?
Are you now at the top where you have real freedom, and the means to do everything your heart desires? What most would call true wealth?
Look inside the men and women charged with keeping us free, and you will see a fierce determination to succeed.
They know the mission, and are willing to lay down their lives to achieve it.
Sometimes by just their sheer force of will.
And an unconditional commitment to a single word: EXCELLENCE:
Excellence in THOUGHT…
Excellence in PLANNING…
Excellence in ACTION…
What is the PURPOSE of this great country we call AMERICA? How do our individual Values, Visions and Roles triangulate into a mission that gives our collective purpose true meaning and significance?
Purpose is the definitive statement of the difference one is trying to make in the world. Ultimately, it is your fundamental calling to make the world different, not to just make a slight difference.
To paraphrase Aristotle, where your talents and the needs of the world cross, there lies your purpose.
At the exact halfway point in the year, I find it useful to look back to see what I have accomplished—and look forward to see what I hope to accomplish before the year runs its course.
In a way, this turning-point is a critical juncture in reaffirming that what I say I want, is indeed what I intend to spend my working days pursuing—and if I have the power necessary to transform my hopes into tangible results.
When we were creating The Power of TQ and 10 Choices of Intentional Excellence, we asked a simple question, “Why do some people succeed brilliantly, where others fail dismally?”
The correct answer, supported by millions of data points, is that people who succeed EXPECT to succeed, where failures fail, simply because they do not EXPECT to succeed in the first place.
Theodore Levitt, Publisher of the Harvard Business Review and numerous books on marketing and business management, observed that there are 2 key ingredients to world changing success: Innovation and Marketing.
Both are driven by your imagination and an unshakeable belief in what is possible.
All last week we talked about passion, purpose and mission. Yes, it is essential that you KNOW your purpose in life. Yes, it is essential that you LIVE your purpose.
Until you do, you are spending the one life you have to live on things that simply don’t matter.
Once you understand this… once you commit to this… once you make the determination that you WILL live your purpose… the question becomes “HOW?” Just how in the world am I going to make this happen?
This week, we will be doing a “refresher” course on dreams and dreaming. Your dreams are critically important in the grand scheme of things—because without them, your life has no future.
So much of our lives revolve around people with outstanding vision. The founders of Apple, Amazon, Starbucks, Google, Facebook and Twitter immediately come to mind as men and woman who built companies who changed the very fabric of the future. Who would have ever thought that Bill Gate’s vision of “making the PC more important than the mainframe…” or Larry Page’s vision of “indexing all the knowledge…
This week, I want to cover a topic that is a big stopper of BOTH dreaming and doing: FEAR. If you let them, these three thieves, Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt, will rob you of your future. They put a big damper on each of the 10 Colors within your Time Prism… which causes you an enormous reduction in your personal POWER.
Our prime Mission at TQ… every waking moment… every thought we think… every product or service we develop… is designed to make it easier for ordinary people to produce extraordinary results over time.
With hundreds of millions of data points, we have found that the vast majority of people find themselves locked in a constant battle between success and survival.
Charles Darwin opined that “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent. It is the one that is most adaptable to change.”
You know that the global economy teeters on a precipice — both candidates for US President agree that big changes are needed and coming…
Last week we discussed the difference between hopes and wishes vs. crystal-clear EXPECTATIONS. As I pointed out all week, what you have the RIGHT to expect is based on four Colors within your personal Time Prism: Your sense of purpose and MISSION… your ATTITUDE… your ability to set Smart GOALS… and your ability to establish […]
“Without AMBITION one starts nothing. Without WORK one finishes nothing. The prize will NOT be sent to you. You have to WIN it. The man who knows HOW will always have a job. The man who also knows WHY will always be his boss. As to METHODS there may be a million and then some, […]
Have you ever wondered why some people achieve success beyond their wildest hopes, dreams and expectations… while others struggle just to make it from payday to payday? Have you ever wondered why some people make a fortune in their businesses—truly capitalizing on their talents, strengths and interests—while others go through their life savings, staying just one step ahead of the bankruptcy courts?
