A Long Journey to Vision

“Life is one big road with lots of signs. So when you riding through the ruts, don’t complicate your mind. Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy. Don’t bury your thoughts, put your vision to reality. Wake Up and Live!” ~ Bob Marley

A Life is a Terrible Thing To Waste…

It is also a wonderful thing to embrace!

Most people go through their lives with a deep case of Success Myopia… they have no vision beyond the obviousness of their lives.

They fail to see the ever-present opportunities, the signs pointing to a better life, and the big milestones in their lives.

Without vision you WILL perish. Your dreams die, your hopes fade, and you find yourself in a thorny field of deep regrets.

Time moves on, but you remain stuck in a time warp of your own making.

Helen Keller said it best, “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight, but no vision.”

Become a Success… Do it On Purpose…

A Long Journey to VisionWhen we wrote Success On Purpose we actually identified and isolated the causes of inner-blindness.

The conclusion was remarkably simple: People have a very difficult time seeing what they VALUE in the dreams and aspirations they imagine.

Do this simple exercise.

Take out a sheet of paper and draw a line down the center of the page.

On the left — in less than 60 seconds — list your top 10 personal values. If you cannot do this, strike #1 — you have values confusion.

On the right, take 1 minute to write down all your Someday Dreams — the Someday I will… Someday I will have… Someday I will play… What will you DO Someday?

Again, if this is a problem, strike #2 — you have little connection between here and now and a highly desirable future.

Finally, take exactly 1 minute to draw lines between what you Value and specific Someday Dreams. If you can draw a line between each value and multiple Someday’s, you have empowered vision. If not, strike #3.

The Good News…

You don’t need to strike out of the game!

People who truly KNOW what they value and can SEE these values in their VISIONS. They succeed brilliantly because they are at the right Starting Point for enduring success.

The vast majority of folks cannot do this meaningfully in hours, let alone 3 minutes.

Which is why we published Success On Purpose.

There is no reason to go through life with a lame sense of vision. Do the 3 core exercises in this book, and you will have what you need most.

Clarity of vision on the cusp of becoming absolute convinced that you are heading in the right direction.
